About Coach

Growing up I played just about every type of sport I could get in to. These included baseball, track, soccer, football, swimming basketball and a brief stint in bowling. I am currently a career firefighter. I had my first daughter (Ryleigh) and got in to my profession around the same time.  I felt it was time to lose weight and get in really go for my career and family to live a healthy lifestyle. I owe this mostly to our CrossFit style workouts and community.

Turning Point

My turning point was from a picture in college. I didn’t realize how out of shape I was and felt until I saw it. As I said before, I was getting in to the fire service and having my first born child and knew it was time to make a change. I lost around 80 lbs. over the course of two years with proper nutrition and fitness.  The commitment I put into this has lead to 15 years down the road where I’m in , possibly the best shape of my life, with the goal of being able to keep up with my children and hopefully grandchildren for as long as possible.

My purpose for coaching is to help others learn to push themselves to the absolute max and keep them coming back the next day. My favorite bit of advice to give to any member who is looking to get started in fitness, is to give us 3 months. 3 months of dedication and you start to build a desire to be here. Rest days become harder to achieve than showing up. I am a firm believer that working out doesn’t get any easier you as an individual just get better.
